From 12 to 15 October 2026, Cannes will once again host MIPCOM, the international market for television, streaming and entertainment content. The event takes place at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès on the Croisette and brings together studios, platforms, broadcasters, producers and distributors from around the world.
For MIPCOM delegates, a trip to Cannes usually means several intensive days of meetings. Choosing where to stay is therefore not simply a question of comfort: daily logistics, walking distance to the Palais des Festivals and access from the airport can have a significant impact on the trip.

The main MIPCOM Cannes 2026 programme runs from Monday 12 October to Thursday 15 October at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, 1 Boulevard de la Croisette.
The official opening hours are:
- 12 October — 08:30–19:00;
- 13 October — 08:30–19:00;
- 14 October — 08:30–19:00;
- 15 October — 08:30–16:00.
Some activities begin before the official opening. On Sunday 11 October at 17:00, a special pre-opening session dedicated to microdrama and vertical content is scheduled in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals. MIPCOM registration desks also open before the main market begins.
Delegates attending the Sunday programme, or those who prefer to collect their badge and prepare for meetings in advance, may therefore find it more practical to arrive in Cannes on 11 October.
Where to stay during MIPCOM
The most suitable area largely depends on how often you expect to move between your accommodation and the Palais des Festivals during the day.
The Croisette and Palais des Festivals area
This is the most convenient option for delegates who want to stay as close as possible to the main MIPCOM venue. The Palais des Festivals stands at the beginning of Boulevard de la Croisette, with major hotels, restaurants and many business meeting points located nearby.
With a tight meeting schedule, being able to walk between the Palais, restaurants and nearby appointments can make the working day considerably easier.
Central Cannes
Central Cannes is another practical choice. The district offers shops, cafés and restaurants and is also home to Cannes railway station.
It provides a balance between walking access to the Palais des Festivals and convenient rail connections along the French Riviera.
Le Suquet and the Vieux Port
For visitors who want to combine business with a more traditional Cannes atmosphere, the historic Le Suquet district and the Vieux Port are worth considering.
Part of Le Suquet is located on a hill, however, so delegates with a particularly intensive schedule should check the actual walking route to the Palais before choosing an address.
For teams travelling together, an apartment can also be a practical alternative to several separate hotel rooms. Registered MIPCOM delegates can additionally use the event's official hotel and apartment booking service through its accommodation partner.

Getting to Cannes
For most international delegates, the main arrival point is Nice Côte d’Azur Airport.
Bus route 81 connects the airport with Cannes. Tickets should be purchased before boarding, and departure points and ticket conditions should be checked on the airport website before travelling.
Rail is another option. Nice Saint-Augustin railway station is connected to the airport via the Grand Arénas transport hub, with free tram travel between the airport terminals and Grand Arénas.
Travellers using road transfers in October 2026 should also be aware of works near Pont du Mercantour. A new phase began on 2 October, and Nice Airport has warned of possible traffic disruption in the area.
No universal additional journey time between the airport and Cannes has been announced, so live traffic conditions should be checked on the day of arrival and departure.
Planning your stay during MIPCOM
MIPCOM combines business meetings, conferences, screenings and networking events. Professionals from more than 100 countries are expected, while the programme covers content distribution, the creator economy, brands and entertainment, AI and new technologies.
A few practical decisions can make the four days significantly easier.
First, consider how important walking distance from the Palais really is. With numerous short meetings throughout the day, location may be more valuable than additional facilities at accommodation further away.
Second, teams should decide whether separate hotel rooms or a multi-bedroom apartment with shared space better suits their working arrangements.
Third, allow sufficient time for the return journey to Nice Airport, particularly while roadworks are affecting the airport area.
Finally, check the programme for Sunday 11 October. Selected MIPCOM activities begin before the market officially opens.

For international delegates, MIPCOM does not necessarily have to be limited to the four official market days.
Cannes can serve as a base throughout the event, while one or two additional days before or after MIPCOM can be used to explore other parts of the French Riviera.
The key to preparing for MIPCOM 2026 is to organise accommodation and transport early and then recheck the event programme, registration arrangements and current travel conditions shortly before departure.
