Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

Roquebrune Cap Martin is an integrated area of the Côte d'Azur, stretching from Menton to Monte Carlo. Above Roquebrune, on a high 250-meter cliff overhanging the sea, is an ancient village. Its castle, with its watchtower, is a one-of-a-kind example of French Carolingian defensive architecture. The ancient staircases and covered passageways connecting the streets retain their original appearance. The Rue Moncolais is picturesque: it is cut into the rock and built up with medieval houses.
