Rental Agreement Essentials

- Initial Deposit: An initial deposit of 30% of the total cost, with the balance due two months before arrival.
- Security Deposit: To cover potential damages and additional expenses, a security deposit is required. This deposit is payable two weeks before the rental period begins. The amount, set by the property owner, typically ranges from 20% to 30% of the total rental cost. This deposit is intended to cover any damages to the property and its contents, as well as additional expenses such as utility bills (water, gas, electricity, and phone usage).
- Refund of Security Deposit: After the rental period, the remainder of the security deposit, minus any applicable charges, will be returned to the renter within two months, in compliance with French law.
